At Enfin Energy Finance, we believe that the future of our industry—and indeed, the world—depends on the empowerment and advancement of women. Various scientific studies have found that women who are appropriately empowered and supported in the workplace, deliver disproportionately more value than their male counterparts. This belief is at the heart of the 2024 Enfin Women’s Fellowship, a programme dedicated to creating and enhancing employability opportunities for women graduates in South Africa, while also fostering the professional growth of our own women employees.
A Fellowship with a Purpose
The Enfin Women’s Fellowship and Academy (EWFA) is more than just a programme; it is a commitment to fostering the next generation of female leaders. By focusing on critical and scarce skills, the Fellowship offers final-year students from various South African universities the opportunity to gain invaluable work experience through the EWFA. This programme is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical academic learning and practical application of the theoretical knowledge, ensuring that our Fellows are not just prepared for the workplace in particular , but indeed also for life in general.
A Pathway to Professional Growth
The EWFA is structured around a Three-dimensional Opportunity Model: Fellowship Opportunity, Fixed Term Employment Opportunity, and possible Permanent Employment Opportunity. This model is designed to create a seamless transition from academic life to professional success. Fellows who demonstrate exceptional performance during their Fellowship may be offered Fixed Term Contracts (FTCs) within Enfin, based on our operational needs and financial realities. These FTCs have the potential to evolve into permanent positions, offering a clear career path for upward mobility within our organization.
Spotlight on Our Fellows
Our current Fellows exemplify the kind of talent and drive that the EWFA seeks to nurture. At the heart of the Enfin Fellowship, is the commitment to driving the positive Social Impact Agenda, by changing the lives of women graduates through in keeping with the spirit of equality and dignity.
