This project showcases a grid-tied solar system powering a specialised animal feed irrigation farm in Modderrivier. This installation features high-efficiency PV panels strategically positioned to maximise the Northern Cape’s abundant sunshine, seamlessly integrating with the farm’s existing irrigation infrastructure to ensure consistent water supply for feed production. Enfin’s innovative solar finance structure eliminated upfront costs while providing comprehensive maintenance coverage, demonstrating how renewable energy can practically enhance agricultural productivity while supporting environmental sustainability in South Africa’s vital food production sector.
